Come on Bernie, isn't there an entire page here dedicated to FSM mis-prints?
How many times have you seen someone here post "broke a bolt, tightened to FSM spec", then seen a reply "Yea, that was a misprint".

The Timing Belt is that, a belt, not a chain, and as such is rubber and subject to any other wearing properties rubber goes through.

I wouldn't expect tires to last 15 years. (UNLESS they were prepped/cared for in a manner to preserve them, and a timing belt doesn't get that treatment)

Not trying to be argumentative, and I highly respect you Bernie, I simply don't believe age has *nothing* to do with timing belt condition.
